For Passengers

Can I book without creating an account?

No. You need to register a free passenger account to complete a booking. Registration takes under a minute.

How do I get my ticket after booking?

Your ticket is emailed to the address you provided. It also appears immediately in My Bookings inside the app/website. You do not need to print it — show it from your phone at boarding.

Can I book for someone else?

Yes. Enter the other person's name in the passenger details during seat selection. The email and phone for notifications can be yours.

What if I lose my ticket?

Log in to your account, go to My Bookings, find the booking, and download the ticket again. The QR code remains valid.

My payment went through on eSewa/Khalti but I got no ticket?

This can happen if the payment callback was interrupted. Wait 5 minutes and check My Bookings. If the booking still does not appear, email support@shubha-yatra.com with your eSewa/Khalti transaction reference number and we will confirm your booking manually.

Can I change my seat after booking?

Seat changes are not currently supported. Cancel and rebook to get a different seat (subject to refund policy and seat availability).

How do I cancel my booking?

Go to My Bookings, click the booking, and tap Cancel Booking. Refunds are processed based on the operator's cancellation policy.

What is the Nepali date (BS)?

BS stands for Bikram Sambat — Nepal's official calendar. It runs approximately 56–57 years ahead of the Gregorian (AD) calendar. Shubha Yatra shows all dates in BS by default with the corresponding AD date below for reference.


For Bus Operators

How long does approval take?

Typically 1–2 business days. Upload all required documents to speed up the review. See Documents.

Can I add multiple buses?

Yes, there is no limit to the number of buses in your fleet.

Can I set different fares for different days?

Yes. Each schedule has its own fare. You can set NPR 1,200 for weekdays and NPR 1,500 for weekends by creating separate schedules.

What happens if I cancel a schedule with confirmed bookings?

All confirmed bookings on that schedule are automatically cancelled and passengers are notified by email. Refunds are processed according to your refund policy.

Can passengers pay cash to my conductor?

Yes. Use Create Booking (Sidebar → Create Booking) to manually add walk-in passengers who pay cash. A ticket is generated for them immediately.

How do conductors verify passengers?

Conductors scan the QR code on the passenger's ticket using the Driver Dashboard. See Passenger Boarding.

My driver cannot see the trip in their dashboard?

Make sure:

  1. The schedule date matches today.
  2. The bus assigned to the schedule is active.
  3. The driver is logged in to the correct account (check the email).

For Drivers & Conductors

My login credentials are not working.

Contact your operator to verify your email and reset your password. See Staff Management.

GPS tracking stops when I lock the phone.

On the Android app, grant Always Allow for location in your phone's app settings. On the browser, keep the tab open and prevent the screen from locking during the journey.

A passenger's QR code shows "Wrong trip" even though they have a valid ticket.

The passenger has a valid booking but for a different schedule. Verify their ticket details (date, route, bus) and direct them to the correct vehicle.

Is Shubha Yatra available as a mobile app?

Yes — an Android app is available. The web platform at shubha-yatra.com works on all mobile browsers as well.

How do I contact support?
