Searching for Buses

Using the search form

The search box is on the home page of shubha-yatra.com.

Step 1 — Enter your route

• From (यहाँबाट) — type the city you are departing from.
• To (त्यहाँसम्म) — type your destination city.

As you type, a dropdown suggests matching cities. Click a city name to select it.

Supported cities include: Kathmandu, Pokhara, Chitwan, Lumbini, Butwal, Nepalgunj, Dharan, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Bhairahawa, Birgunj, Hetauda, Dhangadhi, Illam, Tansen, Mustang, and more.

Swap cities

Click the ⇄ icon between the two fields to instantly swap source and destination.

Step 2 — Pick a date

Click the date field to open the Nepali calendar picker.

• The calendar shows Bikram Sambat (BS) months and days in Devanagari script.
• Each day cell shows the BS day number with the corresponding AD day number underneath.
• Use the ‹ › arrows to move between months and the « » arrows to jump a year.
• Click आज (Today) to jump to today's date immediately.
• The selected date and its English equivalent are shown on the button after selection.

Step 3 — Trip type

Choose between:

• One Way — a single journey from source to destination.
• Round Trip — book both the outbound and return legs in the same session. A second date picker appears for the return date.

Step 4 — Search

Click the Search button. The button is disabled until a valid source, destination, and date are selected.

Search results page

After searching, you are taken to the results page showing all available buses for your route and date.

Date navigation strip

Just below the route header is a 7-day date strip showing the selected date and the three days on either side. Each date shows:

• Nepali weekday (e.g., शुक्र)
• BS day number (e.g., २३)
• BS month name (e.g., जेठ)
• English date below (e.g., Jun 6)

Click any date in the strip to instantly reload results for that date without going back to the home page. Use the ‹ › arrows on either side to scroll further.

What each bus card shows

Field	Description
Bus name	The registered name of the vehicle
Bus type	Standard 🚌, Sofa 🛋️, or Micro 🚐
Operator	The bus company name and registration number
Amenities	AC ❄️, WiFi 📶, USB Charging 🔌, and others
Departure time	Scheduled departure from your source
Arrival time	Estimated arrival at your destination
Duration	Estimated travel time
Seats left	Number of remaining available seats
Fare	Price per person in NPR
Photos	Click the 📷 icon to view bus gallery photos
Live	A green LIVE badge appears if the bus is currently on its way
Refund Policy	A link to the operator's refund policy if available

No buses found?

If no results appear, it could mean:

• No operator has published a schedule for that route and date yet.
• The route name does not match — try the reverse direction or a nearby city.
• You have active filters narrowing the results — click Clear Filters in the sidebar to reset.

Next step

Once you find a suitable bus, click Select Seats to proceed to the seat selection page.
