Luggage Management
The luggage tracking feature lets drivers and conductors create physical luggage tags and link them to the passenger's booking. This helps match luggage to passengers at the destination.
Enabling luggage tracking
Luggage tracking is enabled per trip. On the Driver Dashboard:
- Go to the Luggage section.
- Toggle Enable Luggage Tracking on.
Creating a luggage tag
When a passenger boards with luggage:
- Tap + New Tag.
- Scan or enter the passenger's booking QR code to link the tag.
- The tag is created with a unique tag ID.
- Attach a printed or written tag ID to the physical bag.
Each tag shows:
- Tag ID
- Passenger name and seat
- Description (from the booking, e.g. "Black backpack")
- Weight (if entered at booking time)
- Status: Loaded / Unloaded / Claimed
Updating luggage status
Change a tag's status as the journey progresses:
| Status | When to set it |
|---|---|
| Loaded | Bag is loaded into the bus luggage compartment |
| Unloaded | Bag has been offloaded at the destination |
| Claimed | Passenger has collected the bag |
Luggage at the destination
At the destination:
- Go to the Luggage section.
- Scan or tap each tag as bags are offloaded.
- Set to Unloaded.
- When the passenger collects their bag, set to Claimed.
This gives both the conductor and the passenger confidence that every bag is accounted for.
Viewing all luggage for a trip
The luggage list shows all tags for the current trip with their current status and linked passenger. Use the search box to find a tag by ID or passenger name.
